About Me
Counsellor. Somatic Yoga Teacher. Human being.
I'm Ana, an integrative counsellor and somatic yoga teacher.
I've spent more than thirteen years supporting people professionally, including over a decade working in the refugee sector.
My work has also included supporting young people around trauma and attachment, and adults experiencing substance misuse.
I'm particularly interested in trauma, identity, belonging and the relationship between our emotional and physical experiences. I believe that everyone deserves to be heard and supported, whatever their background or life experience.
My counselling and somatic yoga practices are different, but connected. Both create space to slow down, become curious about our experience and develop a deeper relationship with ourselves.
A personal history of migration and multicultural upbringing led me to fascination with the human experience. Across imaginary borders, we all share the same needs - to feel that we belong, that we are safe and that we are cared for.
I have spent my life studying these needs through conversation, movement and various therapeutic modalities. I am led by a curiosity to discover the ingredients that help us cultivate resilience, so that we can experience the wholeness of life - the darkness as well as the light.
